The Christmas prep continues

Evie and I finished the decorations today- the Christmas Tree!! I put it up during her nap and she was SO excited to see it when she woke up. She thought it was pretty cool that I let her hang some of the decorations (of course the bottom half of the tree is all the non-breakables!)

(The ducky she's holding.... she totally stole that off the tree and has declared that it is "Evie's duck." He will now be her personal property. Silly girl!)

More dancing to the snowman music- she loves that thing!

Daddy showed her the mouse house (one of his old ornaments from childhood). She kept saying "Night-night, Mouse" since the mouse is laying in his bed. Too cute!

SNOW! We're getting a snow storm tonight- 3 inches by dinnertime and plenty more forecasted through tomorrow evening. She loved making little snow balls.

And I made us our first snowman! (Too bad he has already fallen over!)

Getting in the mood

Yay! It's officially Christmas time! I'm such a fan of the holiday season- I'll be in the Christmas mood 24/7 for the next month- just love it!
This year I had a little elf who enjoyed helping me decorate the house. It's so fun to have her take part in the fun this year! We set up the house decorations tonight, tomorrow we'll do the tree!

She liked putting Baby Jesus in his "house"- here she's helping one of the wise men find his place. :)

Trees! She really liked helping set out my Christmas village and trees

The dancing snowmen from Hallmark were a hit last year too- she loved dancing to their music this year! I have a feeling I'll be hearing this song a lot!

Hat! She loves a hat of any type... the santa hat is no exception!

And she is totally loving the "big star" in the window now- such a precious moment!

Thanksgiving 2008

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration! We had a wonderful time visiting with family at Natalie & Jason's house (such great hosts!) It was such a special treat to have Steve, Miranda, and Scottie home too! Here's some pics of our fun celebration:

Steve & Miranda- They brought their dogs- so cute!

The koolaid-mustache girl being silly

Another picture-perfect jello mold for Betty Crocker!

Natalie contemplating the "doneness" of the turkey!

Jason doing his "man of the house" duties

waiting patiently for lunch to be done...

What a smile! She's giving a huge giggle to Sophia here.

Yum! Finally lunch! All she really ate though was 2 rolls!
