A Taste of Texas

The first weekend in April we were able to take a great vacation to Dallas, TX. Gabe, Evie and I flew out on a Thursday and spent the next 4 days with a big group of our friends for our annual get together. Everyone in our group has kids the same age along with babies on the way! The kids had an awesome time playing together.
We were loving the nice, warm Texas weather! Such a nice change from the snow that welcomed us home as we arrived back home on Monday.

Evie loved the plane rides. She loved "flying in the sky" and going "really fast" on the runway... so much so that she could hardly stand waiting when we loaded to taxi.

One evening we took all the kids to the Wiggly play center to jump and climb as they pleased- Evie LOVED jumping!

On Saturday we visited the Dallas World Aquarium which was amazing! It was like an indoor rainforest. Evie is still talking about the sharks, spiders, flamingos, and the gross snakes!

We spent most of our free time at Michelle's house, letting the kids run free!

Baby #2- Baby GIRL is on her way!

We are so happy to announce that our second child is going to be a girl! So we'll have all kinds of pink and pretty in our home now with the two little princesses!

Lydia Ruth is doing great! She was rolling, kicking, stretching out, punching me... very, very active! I guess she liked the OJ that I had for breakfast! The US Tech kept laughing at how fast and active she was, it was hard to get good measurements because she was all over the place. We saw her roll completely over and then move her head all the way from the top right of my belly to the top left. She's positioned breech right now but based on how quick she is to move there's no worry yet. She's got lots of room to swim. All Lydia's measurements were spot-on and she was developing just perfectly. No concerns. She weighs about 11oz and her leg alone is 9cm, so she's nice and long! We are SO thrilled! Evie went with us to the U/S too and was so good. She really enjoyed seeing the baby and was talking about baby's "mouth and hand" all the way home!

A a few pics of our sweet little baby....

I didn't know they could do the 3D/4D shots! Yay! Isn't this awesome? Lydia had her hands up by her head most of the time.

Her cute little arm and hand (belly in the bottom left, her head is up in the top right in the shadows)

Her profile. Cute little button nose! She was opening and closing her mouth a lot- that was fun to see.

We are SO excited. I was certainly surprised as I was totally convinced this was a boy (guess that was my big April Fool's for the day!) but am so thrilled that we'll have two little girls, sweet sisters!
